Our Story
Bob & Barbara Everett, the creators and owners of An Angel’s Touch Decor, have always been interested in gift shops. And so, as they traveled around the country and the world, they always took time to check out what the local gift shops had to offer, comparing notes about what they liked and didn’t like about each one. However, it took a major event in their lives to get them thinking about owning their own store…
It all started with a few very special gifts, given to Barbara when she was receiving chemotherapy for breast cancer… It was decidedly the hardest time of her life, when one of her friends came bearing a gift – the gift of a Willow Tree angel. This gift meant more than words could say, and she placed it right by her couch where, while she was resting, she could see it.
About a week later a different friend came bearing a gift – can you guess what it was? Yep, it was another Willow Tree angel. Once again, Barbara was deeply touched by this gift, and placed it by the first one where she could always see it (and where the angels could always see her…).
As Barbara was recuperating, more friends and family came to visit, some with gifts (not knowing of the gifts she had received before), including additional Willow Tree angels. One day a neighbor came by and, as she looked around she said, “Oh, I see you collect Willow Tree.” Barbara didn’t realize it until then, but it was true - she had become a “Willow Tree collector”.
And although Barbara cherishes all of her Willow Tree angels, it is those first few, given to her at the scariest time of her life, that hold the most meaning! They stand as a reminder to her that there are in fact angels, and that they’re watching over each and every one of us….
A few years later...
Bob and Barbara combined their joint love of gift shops with their new-found knowledge of the importance gifts hold - for people going through troubled times, dealing with major life changes, having new experiences, or even wishing to express renewed awareness and recognition of the value of friends and family - to start their own business where people could find meaningful, unique gifts and decor at affordable prices. What started as an idea has grown into a full-blown, award-winning, family-owned-and-operated gift shop - Come shop with us!
What we sell
Here at An Angel’s Touch Decor, we focus on angels and other gifts of inspiration, faith and support. We carry quite a few different merchandise lines - some of which may be familiar to you, others not. We urge you to check them all out - you never know which line will become your new favorite...
The main things we look for in the products we offer are quality and value. We want you to get things that will last, and be appreciated and valued by you or the person you're buying for. If anything you buy in our store does not meet your expectations, you may exchange or return it. We pride ourselves on being easy to do business with!
